I created this Fruit Bowl because avocados are freaking expensive. As fruit ripens, it releases a gas that will actually quicken the process (if you want to ripen an Avo overnight, put it in a paper bag -better yet with a ripe banana.) The cut outs allow airflow through the bowl, keeping your produce fresher, longer.

This item is made with recycled clay, and customized with a speckle added! The amount of speckles and colour of clay will vary per batch. As always, I recommend hand washing and drying, however -upon your own discretion- these items may be placed in the dishwasher with care.

Throwing or hand building clay with medium plasticity that feels most smooth, slight texture. Fires to a light-medium buff colour with speckle.

This bag is 22lbs. Dry shrinkage- 6-7%, Fired shrinkage 4.7-5.5% depending on heat of the kiln. Please note that supplier changed on Feb 28, and clay sold previously is slightly different. This may or may not affect if you are joining pieces together (you may wedge different clays together with no issue.)

This Cover Pot is handcrafted from start to finish: thrown on my potter's wheel. Because they are all handmade there may be slight differences in the shape and size of each vase. Some have a blue drip on the outside, if you have a preference on the look please send us an email.

Either plant directly into this pot, or nestle your 4 inch plastic greenhouse pot into this cover pot. Once it grows out of it's container, it's easy to move and re-pot.

As for all handmade items, I recommend that they are hand washed and not used in the dishwasher. However- as there are no metallics and the item is fully glazed it is possible to put in the dishwasher & microwave at your own risk.
